The New Business Development Manager leads and mentors sales representatives in delivering voluntary benefits that help employees navigate life's financial uncertainties with confidence.
Successful Business Development Managers prioritize:
• Coaching, mentoring, and inspiring other sales agents
• Identifying, interviewing, and recruiting new sales agents
• Providing hands-on field training and collaborative work experiences
• Facilitating sales meetings and training sessions
• Driving B2B employee benefits sales and managing client accounts
• Establishing strong connections with business owners, HR professionals, and key decision-makers • Creating a dynamic, competitive, and team-oriented environment
• Cultivating and sustaining relationships with brokers
Beneficial Qualifications and/or Skills:
• Experience in B2B sales
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead sales teams
• Background in insurance sales with an active Life & Accident/Health Insurance License (or willingness to obtain)
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently while inspiring teams
