Role Description

Encinitas Country Day School is seeking dedicated Montessori Teachers for Kindergarten and 2nd Grade in a full-time, on-site role at our Encinitas, CA location. Responsibilities include preparing and implementing Montessori-based lessons, providing an engaging learning environment, and fostering the academic and personal development of students. The role also involves effective communication with parents and staff, ongoing classroom management, and participation in training and professional development to enhance teaching methods and adhere to the philosophy of Montessori education.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in the ability to design age-appropriate, stimulating educational activities
• Background in Education, with expertise in child development and Montessori teaching methods
• Strong Communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues effectively
• Experience in Teaching and Training within educational settings, preferably with a focus on Montessori pedagogy
• Montessori certification for teaching Kindergarten or elementary grades is preferred and/or interest in attending Montessori trainings
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is required
