Job Description

Education & Certification

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified in one of the following:
  • Internal Medicine , OR
  • Endocrinology , OR
  • Family Medicine/Family Practice
• Active and unrestricted medical license (state to be confirmed)
• DEA licensure

Experience

• Minimum 5-7 years of clinical practice experience
• Minimum 3-5 years in healthcare leadership/administrative role
• Previous experience as Medical Director, Associate CMO, or VP of Medical Affairs preferred
• Experience with quality improvement, utilization management, and clinical protocol development

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership

• Provide strategic medical direction and oversight for all clinical operations
• Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and quality standards
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (CMS, Joint Commission, state regulations)
• Lead clinical quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Oversee credentialing and privileging processes

Operational Management

• Collaborate with C-suite executives on organizational strategy
• Manage medical staff and provider relationships
• Oversee clinical protocols and evidence-based practice guidelines
• Monitor clinical outcomes, quality metrics, and patient satisfaction
• Lead utilization review and care management programs

Team Leadership

• Recruit, mentor, and develop physician leaders and clinical staff
• Foster culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement
• Serve as liaison between medical staff and administration
• Lead medical staff meetings and committees

Strategic Initiatives

• Drive population health management strategies
• Support value-based care and risk-based contracting initiatives
• Implement technology solutions and telehealth programs
• Develop and expand clinical service lines
