As a Member Service Associate/Teller , you connect with our members to build trusted relationships and help them achieve their financial goals. In this role, you assist members with their everyday banking transactions and needs, such as deposits, loan payments, and withdrawals. You must be able to think creatively to find solutions and solve problems for our members. After six months, you'll know you were successful if:

  • You've mastered basic transactions.

Additionally, you will work three Saturdays a month (8:45 am - 12:15 pm), with the flexibility to adjust Saturday hours during the week. This ensures a 40-hour work week for you and allows for some scheduling flexibility. You will generally have a half day on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Starting hourly pay for the role is $16.50 - $20.00.
Member Service Associate/Teller Essential Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Receive checks and cash for deposit in person, via mail or by night deposit. Verify amount and examine checks for endorsements.
  • Cash checks and complete withdrawals and pays out money after verification of signatures and member balances.
  • Enter members’ transactions into computer to record transactions and issue computer generated receipts.
  • Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
  • Order daily supply of cash and count incoming cash.
  • Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compare total amounts with data displayed on computer screen.
  • Explain, promote and sell products or services that will benefit the member.
  • Research and resolve member inquiries.
  • Complete transactions for money orders, cash advances, gift cards, savings bonds, cashier’s checks, verifications, and loan payments when necessary.
  • Assist other departments and areas as needed (i.e. filing, scanning, phones, etc.)

Member Service Associate/Teller Education and Experience: To excel in this role, you should have six to twelve months of cash handling and customer service experience, feel comfortable using a computer and learning new technology, and have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. You should enjoy a collaborative environment that strives for above-and-beyond service to our members and excellence in all transactions.
