The Senior Investment Advisor is responsible for conducting investment analysis, performing portfolio management tasks, executing transactions, and providing advice to Clients and Relationship Managers. Bringing innovative ideas, leveraging technology, and applying relevant experience are crucial aspects of this role.
This role includes the following duties and responsibilities:
• Developing quantitative frameworks for investment analysis
• Conducting investment analysis of securities and other asset classes
• Performing portfolio management tasks
• Executing trades (bonds, equities, derivatives, structured products, foreign exchange) in compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Developing and maintaining relationships with external brokers and counterparts
• Maintaining pricing lists and securities databases
• Monitoring investment recommendations to ensure timeliness and suitability
• Preparing investment proposals for existing and prospective clients in collaboration with Relationship Managers
• Providing technical advice on fixed income and equity securities, derivatives, structured notes, and foreign exchange to Relationship Managers and clients
• Operating Addepar, the data aggregation and reporting system used for generating client statements and analytical reports
• Bringing innovative ideas and technological capabilities to improve processes and develop value-added initiatives, including exposure to illiquid markets
REQUIRED:
• Series 65 certification is required or must be obtained within 180 days of the start date.
PROFILE
• College degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other fields related to investments and portfolio management
• Series 65, CFA, and CAIA certifications are a plus
• Minimum of 5 years of successful professional experience in a similar role
• Proven expertise in portfolio management and securities trading
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Solid Microsoft Office capabilities, particularly Excel; proficiency in Bloomberg
• Fluency in English and Portuguese; Spanish is a plus
