Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Spring and/or Summer Business Operations Intern to support administrative, operational, and financial tracking functions across our business. This entry-level role is ideal for a student studying business, management, real estate, accounting, or a related field, or an early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in real estate operations and property management.

The intern will work closely with leadership and assist with day-to-day business activities, including data management, vendor coordination, financial tracking, and operational support, gaining exposure to the systems and processes that keep the business running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Data Management & Record Keeping

  • Maintain accurate records in spreadsheets, databases, or property management software
  • Track expenses, tenant information, lease documents, and other operational data
  • Keep files and records organized and up to date

Utility & Expense Management

  • Review and track utility bills across properties
  • Assist with payment tracking and monthly reconciliations
  • Help coordinate reimbursements and resolve billing discrepancies

Administrative Support

  • Assist with document organization, filing, and digital record management
  • Schedule appointments, calls, and follow-ups
  • Monitor emails and voicemails and flag items requiring attention

Operational Assistance

  • Prepare reports related to expenses or property performance
  • Track invoices, payments, and operational tasks
  • Maintain vendor and contact databases

Research & Special Projects

  • Research vendors, service providers, or market data
  • Assist with due diligence on potential acquisitions or projects
  • Support projects aimed at improving business efficiency

General Business Support

  • Provide operational and administrative support for daily business functions
  • Assist leadership with miscellaneous tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in business, management, real estate, communications, or a related field
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Detail oriented with a willingness to learn
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
