Southern Property Management manages a variety of commercial property including high-rise office, retail centers and industrial properties. The Maintenance Technician will work with our existing maintenance team and office staff to perform routine property checks, perform routine maintenance, and be on call for any emergencies.

The Maintenance Technician has regular, frequent contact with tenants and/or building occupants. Incumbents must represent Southern Property Management in a positive way, demonstrating technical competence, concern for resolving tenant issues, normal business decorum, and professional personal appearance.

Duties Including but Not Limited to:

  • Check all properties as scheduled
  • Perform routine maintenance
  • Respectfully and professionally interact with tenants, vendors and the public, where applicable
  • Respond to service requests from office staff and management
  • Relay tenant concerns to office staff and management
  • Participate in weekly maintenance meetings
  • Keep track of all time on jobs
  • Monitor inventory and coordinate
  • Escort vendors onsite for projects
  • Participate in weekly on-call schedule

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Preferred
  • Must be available for after-hours emergency maintenance when on schedule
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle and prioritized multiple tasks and demands.
  • Previous experience with various trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC, concrete, etc.
  • Previous experience with commercial properties
  • Ability to handle minor physical labor and walking
  • Ability to work well in a team of other maintenance
  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
