Director, Real Estate Transactions & Asset Management

Baltimore, MD (In-Office)

We are currently partnering with a mission-driven, quasi-public real estate development organization focused on driving economic growth, investment, and community impact across a major U.S. city.

This organization oversees a diverse portfolio of mixed-use, civic, and community-oriented assets and is actively expanding its development platform with a stronger focus on execution and deal activity.

The Role

This is a high-impact leadership role sitting at the intersection of real estate development, capital structuring, and asset management.

The Director will work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in executing complex development projects, structuring multi-layered capital stacks, and overseeing portfolio performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead real estate transactions including RFQs/RFPs, developer selection, and deal negotiation
  • Evaluate development opportunities and execute cradle-to-grave projects
  • Structure complex capital stacks including public, private, and tax credit financing
  • Build financial models, pro formas, and investment analyses
  • Oversee asset management across a diverse real estate portfolio
  • Develop operating budgets, capital plans, and performance strategies
  • Manage consultants including architects, engineers, legal, and financial advisors
  • Coordinate with stakeholders across government, community, and investment partners
  • Support development of innovative financing programs and investment strategies

What They’re Looking For

  • 5–12+ years of experience in real estate development, asset management, or development finance
  • Strong experience with deal execution and financial structuring
  • Exposure to public-private partnerships and/or tax credit financing (LIHTC, NMTC, etc.) preferred
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skillset
  • Experience in urban, mixed-use, or community-oriented development is a plus

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $110,000 – $140,000
  • Full benefits package included

Why This Role

  • Work on high-visibility, city-shaping development projects
  • Exposure to complex, institutional-quality deals with layered capital
  • Unique blend of development, finance, and asset management responsibility
  • Opportunity to play a key role in a growing, impact-driven platform
  • Strong stability and long-term career runway
