Catering Chef (High-Volume, On-Premise Events)

We are seeking a skilled, organized, and hands-on Catering Chef to lead culinary execution for a high-volume, on-premise catering program. This role is ideal for a chef who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys the energy of live events, and can consistently deliver high-quality food at scale.

About the Role

The Catering Chef will oversee all culinary aspects of on-premise events, ensuring seamless execution from prep through service. This individual will work closely with operations and front-of-house teams to deliver polished, timely, and consistent food for a wide range of events—from corporate functions to large-scale social gatherings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead culinary execution for high-volume, on-premise catered events
  • Oversee prep, production, and service to ensure quality, consistency, and timing
  • Collaborate with events and FOH teams to ensure seamless communication and execution
  • Manage kitchen staff during events, including delegation, supervision, and support
  • Maintain strong organization of prep lists, inventory, and event timelines
  • Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are upheld
  • Assist in menu execution and occasional menu development based on event needs
  • Adapt quickly to changes and troubleshoot in real time during service

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in high-volume catering, banquets, or restaurant kitchens
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to run a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to execute consistently under pressure and manage multiple events or large guest counts
  • Professional, team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
  • Experience with on-premise catering or large-scale events strongly preferred
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
