About us
SASIE’s story begins in 2019, when we organised a female founder accelerator in partnership with Access Bank and CreditPro Business Support Services, just moments before the Covid-19 pandemic began reshaping the world. That pivotal programme illuminated an urgent need: more women across Africa deserved practical pathways to realise their potential as tech entrepreneurs. Seizing this momentum, we officially launched SASIE in 2020.
Our mission remains clear and unapologetic: to nurture a new generation of women-led tech start-ups that drive genuine economic freedom and transformation. We achieve this by blending mentorship, resource-sharing and robust networks, ensuring that women have not only the capital but also the character skills to navigate the complexities of tech entrepreneurship.
The impact runs deeper than successful business ventures. By directly addressing the systemic barriers that keep female ingenuity on the sidelines, SASIE seeks to reshape both the entrepreneurial landscape and the broader narrative of who holds power in tech. As more women founders emerge and flourish, they bring forth innovation, dismantle outdated norms and uplift entire communities.
We continue to build on the spirit of that early accelerator—committing ourselves to bold new programmes, industry events and high-impact partnerships. And through it all, our vision remains unwavering: a future where every African woman, armed with determination and access, shapes the tech industry on her own terms.
Join us on this journey and become part of a dynamic movement that champions the next generation of women in tech across Africa.
